apropos of nothing
and completely uninvited
You came
and offered Your card
a most unusual calling card, thought
I, curious, attracted to its shimmer
like a magpie
to a bright thing
I reached, I grabbed, I looked
into its mirror sheen and that’s when
the piece called “me” popped
out of the jigsaw puzzle
lost its grip, back-flipped
(most unladylike: toes over head)
floated down a yawning wombhole:
dark light, dark light
and the little blip that’s broadcast
by beings – the one that positions a mebody
in time and space – became fainter and fainter and
finally faded out
leaving just this free-falling foolishness,
this cascading chortling laughter;
this trackless trace
of The Great Fool

You’re beautiful!
Oh Susan, your huge-heartedness shines like a beacon for us all. I hope you are well?
Yes, thank you! Love to you!!
Exquisite~! 🙂
Thank you dear Satprem. It’s so good to hear from you … _/|\_
Sighing from delight at seeing a post from you again. The images are missed. This poem filled me up with giggles
I’ve missed you too dear L. Believe it or not there are places in Australia that the fingers of the internet don’t reach – I’m in one of them, for the moment… 🙂
Spectacular–moved me so I read it out loud to my husband who also loved it. May I repost on a non-dual Facebook page, giving credit, of course?
How delightful that you (and your hubby) were touched by these lines dear Amrita – of course you may repost. I’m curious to know which “non-dual Facebook page” you refer to… I’m a newbie on FB (!)
This moved me deeply. I was so grateful to find this post. xoxo
And I am grateful to find your comment here – I’m thinking of you so much dear Deborah.
mebody! love it.
Gladness dear Monica! 🙂
a gorgeous write, really… love the theme of this poem & especially the piece called “me” popped
out of the jigsaw puzzle and the final stanza… but the whole is outstanding, as is your writing in general
Gladness! It’s so delightful to have your feedback – your writing on your own blog is beautiful – highly recommended!
